A workshop for community groups, small businesses, and for those looking to learn a new skill.
Learn the whole process, from start to finish. From planning - writing and storyboarding, to shooting, to editing - uploading, picture editing, adding titles and sound, and exporting.
In the beautiful setting of the George Pegg Botanic Garden you’ll work in small groups to create a 1 minute video of the this historic site.
Come with your own group of 3 or we’ll match you up with other participants.
What do you need to bring? Paper, pen, camera, and laptop. If you have a tripod bring that too.
Our instructor is Scott Franchuk, a UBC student in the BFA Film Production program in Vancouver. Currently Scott is working at the Barrhead Public Library. We are delighted to have him leading this workshop, as part of the Library’s public outreach program.
Let’s make this an event! We encourage you to bring a potluck dish to share for supper. Refreshments will be supplied. The Pegg Garden is an outdoor venue, dress for the weather.
