Your donation allows us to preserve the Garden and offer a variety of programs for the public. Tax receipts are issued for all donations of $20.00 or more. Receipts are mailed by February the following year.

VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are an important part of what we accomplish at Pegg Garden. Here are some ways our volunteers help:

  • Plants: maintenance, propagation, and documenting

  • Special Events and Programming: planning, delivering, set up, and clean up

  • Visitor Services: welcoming visitors, developing the gift shop, contact for site rentals

  • Herbarium Samples: collecting, recording, and mounting

  • Historical Conservation: writing interpretive materials and creating displays

  • Site Maintenance: weeding, pruning, mowing, building repair, and managing restoration projects

  • Promotions: website, social media, print materials, presentations, and advocacy

  • Financial Management and Fundraising: seeking sponsors and grant writing

  • Governance: George Pegg Botanic Garden Society board member

Become a member

The Society is led by a volunteer board, executive members, and directors. Memberships are open to the public and are $10.00/person. Memberships may be purchased at most Pegg Garden events. Payments can also be made using the link below. E-transfers to peggbotanicgarden@gmail.com and cheques made payable to the George Pegg Botanic Garden Society, Box 463, Sangudo, Alberta, T0E 2A0, are also accepted.
